for locating wireless nodes in a home environment requiring
merely a single access point. The only sensor reading used for
the location estimation is the received signal strength indication
(RSSI) as given by an RF interface, e.g.,Wi-Fi.Wireless
signal strengthmaps for the positioning filter are obtained by
a two-step parametric and measurement driven ray-tracing
approach to account for absorption and reflection characteristics
of various obstacles. Location estimates are then
computed using Bayesian filtering on sample sets derived
by Monte Carlo sampling. We outline the research leading
to the system and provide location performance metrics using
trace-driven simulations and real-life experiments. Our
results and real-life walk-troughs indicate that RSSI readings
from a single access point in an indoor environment
are sufficient to derive good location estimates of users with
sub-room precision.

针对这种状况，WIFI联盟跳出来制定了“Wi-Fi Simple Config”的方案，来作为一个统一的标准。“Wi-Fi Simple Config”的最主要目标是让安全的配置和管理WiFi网络变得很简单，能够向用户保证他们的无线网络能够拒绝非授权的访问，不会泄漏他们的私人信息。他们的目标便是：又简单、又安全！-WiFi networks are becoming more and more popular, but the installation and configuration of the network is quite complex, and even if successful installation of the network, most people are not going to use the security features of WiFi, so very safe, very vulnerable. To solve this problem, many manufacturers have developed its own set of network initial configuration solutions so that brings another problem: order and compatibility between the various manufacturers.
In response to this situation, WIFI Alliance jumped out to develop a program of "Wi-Fi Simple Config" as a uniform standard. "Wi-Fi Simple Config" the most important goal is to let the WiFi network, configuration and management of security has become very simple, to guarantee their wireless network to be able to deny unauthorized access, will not reveal their private information. Their goal is: it s easy, and safe!
